Rob Kavovit lived the essence of an All-American life — a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, coach, and lacrosse legend. He proudly wore #15, a number that for him symbolized “Family”: one sister and five brothers — the Kavovits.

In March 2021, despite a life filled with love, achievement, and strong personal connections, Rob tragically lost his battle with silent depression. His story serves as a profound reminder that mental illness can touch anyone.

In his honor, Rob’s family established the 15 for Life Foundation, a grassroots movement dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. The foundation’s mission is to equip people of all ages with the tools to recognize the signs of depression and mental illness — in themselves and in
others — and to encourage open, life-saving conversations about mental health.
