Laboratory Services

When choosing Saint Joseph’s Laboratory for clinical testing, you can be assured that the results are of the highest quality and are produced by dedicated and caring professionals. The laboratory is licensed by the New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program and accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Providing a wide range of laboratory services in support of the various programs offered at Saint Joseph’s, our services include Anatomic Pathology, General Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis with microscopy, Microbiology/Immunology, Transfusion Services and Point of Care Testing (POCT).

Under the direction of a Medical Director who is a Diplomat of American Board of Pathology, board certified in both anatomic and clinical pathology, the department is staffed by board certified pathologists, licensed medical technologists and skilled phlebotomists.

The laboratory performs analysis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Outpatient Specimen Collection Area provides services 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. No appointment is necessary.
