Partial Hospital
The Partial Hospital Program serves adolescents and adults who need intensive short-term treatment to address acute psychiatric difficulties. The program is designed to prevent inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or re-hospitalizations and to help the individual transition back to their life in the community. Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation. An individualized treatment plan is developed, and each patient is assigned to both a therapist and a psychiatrist. Our treatment philosophy is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on crisis resolution.
The adult program is open from Monday through Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Treatment services include group therapy, individual and family therapy, medication management, and discharge planning. The therapeutic groups address such topics as goal setting, development of coping strategies, reduction of symptoms, understanding medication, and improvement of social and family communication and relationships. Substance use disorders are common in people with psychiatric conditions, and the program includes a daily group for patients with these co-occurring disorders.
