Biography

Dr. Ihab Awad is a board-certified urologist that has been practicing adult and pediatric general urology for over 25 years.  He is a graduate of the NYU School of Medicine, and completed his urology residency at Montefiore Medical Center and renal transplantation fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Dr. Awad has in-depth experience with treating complex urological conditions, and will spend the time necessary to understand and arrive at a diagnosis with you.  His approach includes interviewing, examining and testing, with special attention to detail and a focus on individualized care that is delivered by him personally.  He is always available to you for any questions that you might have regarding your care, and before and after any surgical procedure that you might undergo.  This approach has consistently led to excellent surgical outcomes and a professional bedside manner for over 25 years.

Dr. Awad treats male and female adult and pediatric patients of all ages with medical and surgical conditions of the genitourinary tract including, but not limited to, prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, enlargement of the prostate, kidney stones, voiding dysfunction, urinary infections, male infertility and erectile dysfunction.  He performs open and endoscopic surgery that is necessary to treat these conditions at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Yonkers, NY.  In the office, he performs initial consultations and follow-up care.
