Saint Joseph's Celebrates Grand Reopening of Family Health Center

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano; Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins; County Legislators Jose Alvarado and Chris Johnson, and Saint Joseph’s Medical Center President and CEO Michael Spicer and medical staff of the Family Health Center celebrated the grand reopening of the Family Health Center.

The 8,000-square-foot Family Health Center has been redesigned with a bright and modern look to improve the patient and family friendly care experience to better facilitate the patient’s health care needs while continuing to develop partnerships with the Yonkers community. Renovations include ample space and lighting for patient and family friendly care; new expanded Lab Services area; Fast Track Nurse Triage Exam area for walk-in and sick visits; redesigned procedure room; dedicated Medication Room for enhanced patient safety and a Resource Education Room for small group patient education.  The center includes a new food pantry where patients who are in need can get a bag of food during their doctor visit. Plans are underway to create a dedicated telemedicine service area.
